The Celestine, Kyoto Gion

Aiming to be a hotel loved by people who adore the culture and aesthetic of Kyoto, The Celestine Kyoto Gion’s rooms have been designed to shift the traditions and history of Kyoto into the modern day. The rooms and suites are available in eight different types and range from 25 to 66sqm. They feature thoughtful touches such as minibars (stocked with some free items) and espresso makers, along with conveniences such as refrigerators and electric kettles. Guests will also find free WiFi, free wired Internet and flat-screen televisions.

The hotel’s restaurant offers Kyoto style kaiseki cuisine and tempura cooked to order, as well as shabu-shabu, while breakfasts are luxurious Kyoto-style cuisine buffets. In the evening there’s a bar, open until 1am, for guests to enjoy an array of drinks and alcohol.

The Celestine Kyoto Gion has a large public bath with a modern, Japanese atmosphere, which can be used free of charge by all hotel guests. There is also a interior Japanese landscape garden which is designed to express the changing seasons in Kyoto’s unspoilt landscape.
