Yufuin

The small hot spring resort of Yufuin is not far from Beppu, a much larger resort town. Yufuin has many galleries, boutiques and charming cafes and is popular both as a day trip destination and as a place to stay.

The town’s skyline is dominated by views of twin-peaked Mt Yufu and the area is very rural; it won’t take long to find yourself amidst farmland and rice fields.

Many of the hot springs are open to non-staying guests and we recommend trying out as many as you can!

Yufuin is also home to the Floral Village, which attempts to recreate the atmosphere of a small Cotswolds village, with small houses and shops decorated with flowers and even a Peter Rabbit Animal Garden.
