Moku no Sho
Category: Luxury ryokan Tags: niseko, ryokan Place:
A beautiful, modern Japanese ryokan hotel that offers a lovely place to stay, but located on the far western reaches of the Niseko area and some distance away from the slopes and nighlife so perhaps not ideal for hardcore skiers and those who want lots of après ski action. However, for those who fancy a quiet evening in front of a roaring fire while listening to jazz and enjoying a whiskey, Moku no Sho is a great choice!
The lobby is all polished wood and subdued lighting and tastefully decorated in modern Japanese style while the hotel itself is set in a little wooded valley with a waterfall and stream in front – all very pretty and it looks great when lit up at night. There is a deck with an ashi-no-yu foot spa outside that can be accessed from the lounge area - the perfect way to soothe aching feet after a hard day’s skiing!
