Into Japan Specialist Tours will be happy to arrange a cooking class as part of your trip to Japan. This class could be a simple lesson at a private home with an amateur cook who will share some common home style cooking recipes with you or a lesson with a top chef in a Michelin restaurant.

The class can often be tailored to your requests. You could enjoy a demonstration, where the owner-chef will cook a traditional kaiseki banquet for you, explaining every step and the choice of the ingredients, or you could have a very hands-on class, learning the basic techniques of Japanese cooking to make Japanese favourites at home, such as beautiful bento lunch boxes, sushi or stock-based dishes.
