Tokyo Tower

Since its completion in 1958, Tokyo Tower has been one of Tokyo’s main sights, with locals and overseas tourists alike enjoying the views from the observation decks. While the night views are magical, a daytime visit can also be breathtaking; when the weather is clear, you can see Mount Fuji.
We also highly recommend the next-door temple, Zōjō-ji, which is set in the pleasant green of Shiba Park. Visiting the temple makes a remarkable contrast to the tower, and Zōjō-ji is one of Tokyo’s most important temples, with generations of the Tokugawa family – the shogun rulers of Japan – interred in its Buddhist cemetery.
