Yokohama

With a population of over three million people, Yokohama is Japan’s second largest city. Yokohama’s port was one of the first to be opened up to foreign trade in 1859, and consequently it has grown from a small fishing village to one of Japan’s major ports.
Yokohama has one of the world’s largest Chinatowns, with a large number of stores and restaurants. Four colourful gates stand at the entrances to Chinatown, and five more can be found within.
