Odaiba

Built on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay, Odaiba is ultra-modern, boasting wonderful shopping and entertainment. High on the list of activities here is the Ferris wheel. One of the world’s largest at an impressive one hundred and fifteen metres, it is an excellent way to look out over Tokyo. Odaiba is best known for its twinkling lights and romantic atmosphere, which apparently leads to a high rate of marriage proposals in the area. Other places of interest include the excellent Museum of Emerging Science & Technology, where you can meet Asimo the robot, the Sega Joypolis, one of the country’s largest game centres and Oedo Onsen Monogatari, a hot spring theme park.
