Fufu Kawaguchiko

Opened in Autumn 2018, Fufu Kawaguchiko is a small luxury ryokan with 32 guest rooms, each of which boast spectacular views of Mt. Fuji, a private fresh-air hot spring bath lined with volcanic stone from Mt. Fuji and eco-friendly bioethanol fireplaces. Rooms also feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open completely to transform your whole room into an open-air veranda.

Fufu Kawaguchiko’s restaurant serves beautifully presented, contemporary kaiseki multi-course dinners and Japanese style breakfast, showcasing fine local produce and Yamanashi’s famed wines. The tiered seating provides each table with excellent views of Mt. Fuji by day and the illuminated gardens by night. The intimate bar lounge provides a warm and welcoming space for relaxing under a constellation of lamps or you can enjoy actual starry skies and the aroma of wood smoke around the nightly fire pits in the terrace and gardens.
