Kinnotake
Category: Luxury ryokan Tags: Hakone, hot springs, luxury, onsen, ryokan Place: Hakone
One of the most luxurious ryokans in the area, Hakone Kinnotake was inspired by Japan’s famous 10th century folktale “Taketori Monogatari”, in which the beautiful and mysterious Princess Kaguya is discovered in the stalk of a bamboo plant, and eventually returns to the moon.
Kinnotake boasts 10 uniquely designed rooms and suites looking out on to the mountains, with private hot spring baths. All rooms include a private bathroom equipped with bath tub with bath robes and slippers. Some rooms have a seating area with views of either mountains or garden.
Indulgent kaiseki cuisine is prepared by Chef Iwai, who honed his skills in Kyoto.
