Kinnotake Tonosawa

Hidden within the forests of Hakone and one of the most luxurious ryokans in the area, Kinnotake Tonosawa was designed to create a relaxing space for adults to enjoy the beauty of the four seasons and in order to ensure peace and tranquility for all guests, children under 12 are not accepted at this ryokan.

Kinnotake Tonosawa boasts 23 uniquely designed, contemporary style rooms in eight different types, looking out on to the mountains, with private hot spring baths. The spacious rooms come with wooden flooring, a seating area and mountain views. They are fitted with air conditioning, an LCD TV and a refrigerator, and an an iPad and a coffee machine are provided for guests’ use.

Rooms on the ground floor have open-air baths made of granite, while those on the other floors are made of Japanese cypress. Kinnotake’s hot spring waters come from the ryokan’s own private source below ground and can sometimes appear golden depending on the weather and temperature.

Kinnotake’s excellent kaiseki cuisine is traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist. Meals are created from locally sourced seasonal ingredients and both Japanese and Western style breakfasts are offered.

Kinnotake’s Moon Spa offers a range of personally designed treatments, including full body and facials, as well as massages and reflexology.
